Problem
A mill replacing major process equipment had drawings four decades out of date; the integrator needed true as-built geometry to design connections and confirm rigging paths.
Method
Terrestrial laser scanning across three floors registered into one point cloud, with key interface geometry remodeled as CAD for the design team.
Result
New equipment designed against the scan installed clash-free on the first attempt — zero field rework on interfacing steel and piping.
