Problem

The JP843 restoration required faithful geometry of a Napier Sabre supercharger — an assembly with no accessible drawings and few surviving examples.

Method

High-resolution handheld laser scanning of the complete assembly, registered and meshed into a watertight model preserving casting detail.

Result

Reference geometry the restoration team can measure, section and reproduce against — and a permanent digital record of a nearly extinct piece of engineering.
