Can you scan a complete aircraft?
Yes — we have scanned complete fighter airframes with multi-setup laser scanning, registered into a single aligned point cloud and meshed into a watertight model accurate across the full span.
How do you handle polished or dark aircraft surfaces?
Surface finish affects scanner returns; we manage it with scanner selection, exposure tuning and, where permitted, removable matting spray — agreed with conservators beforehand on heritage work.
What do restoration teams actually receive?
A registered point cloud, a watertight mesh, and CAD of the components being remade — plus deviation maps proving each model against the scan. The Hawker Typhoon JP843 project works from exactly this pipeline.
